I've thought about that. Why would the police release that information? If they told reporters about one suitcase it seems like they would have mentioned a second one if there had been one. Did the police say the trunk of the Dodge was open?

I don't think people smuggle drugs from NYC to Florida so I assume if this was a drug deal and that if the victims were the buyers and the rental car was planned as transportation to Tenn.

I wonder if the charter flight was reserved for the victim[s] only or was it a charter flight with other passengers.

If this was a mob hit the police might have trouble solving it, if it was a drug hit they probably already have suspects and are looking for proof. It could be many other things though.

Pure speculation on my part, I haven't done a lick of searching for facts after the first day.
