Mani, <For goodness sake PB, WHERE ARE ALL THE COPPERMINES?>

Glad you asked. Courtesy of the stalwart RMBS thread, I found this link:

gateway.com

I just called the 1-800 number at Gateway, and I confirmed that this system is available, and that the system would arrive in about a week and a half, had I ordered it right now. (The salesman seemed very enthusiastic about the prospect of selling this system to me. He himself is astounded by the specs of this bad boy.)

Unfortunately, I still can't explain why Pricewatch doesn't list any Coppermines available. It's too bad, since a friend of mine who runs 3D Studio MAX wants to upgrade his 440BX system from a Celeron to a Coppermine.

So I guess we can call this processor the "CU-in-a-week-and-a-half-from-Gateway-mine."
