Might be a good idea to take a trip to a big library sometime and read up on Jefferson. Very intertesting fellow. BTW he fought Patrick Henry who wanted to establish a theocracy in the state of Virginia.. The term "separation of church and state" even originates from Jefferson in a letter to the Danberry Bapists. James Madison, another primary framer, reccomended an entire abstinence of: the Govt from interference in any way from religion. Look through at least 20 books which contain personal correspondence. Bet you'll then notice that the Barton book is not very accurate :-)

You also need to understand this: There may exist good music and there may also exist evil music. But that does not mean ALL music fits in these two categories. All your special pleading so far does not establish that there are only these two categories of music. My test with the European soccer fan team song deomonstrates how silly this binary classification is. If you can't see this, there is no point in continuing the music discussion.

BTW, there was a time when I wouldn't have seen the dishonesty in the Carmen video. Only after I learned that I was being deceived for political gain in God's name by a fundamentalist movement could I see it. People did not want to believe me on this, but after a couple hours of face-to-face discussion, theyt generally agreed with me on what was going on.... My goal is to have spiritual music that is free from political influence. One bogus video was enough. No more reason to trust him when there are enough other great Christian artists out there to chose from. (BTW, I like to listen to a black station that has some wonderful stuff during their christian program.)

PS Kids going to jail for bringing Bibles to school? This sounds like some dis-information from a Chriatian Coalition voter guide :-)

PPS You're called the Carmen video education? ROTFL!

PPPS It's politio-christian environment at most Christian concerts that limits my exposure to the music. I would love to go to a Phil Keaggy concert if it was just that. The mini-revival prayer breaks that iterate though all the standard polito-christian positions, plus a creationism/revisionism/fundy silliness thrown in is a bit too much.

God bless. Looking at a my position. Fairly conservative now. Want to pick up some cheap warants in hightech if things crash.
