Hi Finally there; Re: Latency is the same across the board for these chips, (600, 700, and 800) it is only throughput that is increased.

This isn't correct. The bandwidth (and therefore the frequency) effects how long the controller takes to assemble the serial data into the first parallel word for presentation on the FSB. This is due to the FSB being wider than the Rambus channel.

The same comment does not apply to SDRAM, or DDR SDRAM, where the memory channel width is the same as the FSB width. (Or maybe with an addition of ECC.)
