Bryan,

I was under the impression that the merger would be done in about 8 weeks. Have not had the time to research everything since I am in the middle of doing taxes. I was not aware that said they are going to close the merger by the end of June. Still think that is a short timeframe and I know there is a lot of work to be done in the meantime.

Again from my post 275. >MXP will not be trading below $5 when the critical time comes for the pricing of the offer.<

I have to agree with K Martin said in his post 274.
>recently utilities have been deregulated creating an opportunity for massive mergers between utilities and energy producers. Over the next couple of years I believe that you will see energy companies purchased by utilities at premimums. The cash rich utilities will purchase the reserve rich energy firms.<

Think ENE is out of the picture for the time if their deal goes through to merge with PGN. The last I knew they were still tied up in regulatory control and Idaho was also giving them fits.

Don't know what you are going to do with your stock but at this time I will be hanging on to mine and might even look to pick up some PDP if it gets between 28 1/2 to 29 1/2.

This type of merger may be just what RR & co are looking for a couple of years down the road.
