steve, I can see that AMD is indeed immune as they have the Digital bus rights and can run with them. This will act as a check against Intel being overly proprietary. The digital stuff is certainly as fast as what Intel is using, and if the P6 bus uses what came from DEC and now AMD has it too then they may be able to back into a P6 bus by rev eng. We live in interesting times. The third link you gave was dead. Bill
