DEER PARK, NY/WEISBADEN, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1999-- Long
Island-based QuesTec Imaging, Inc. (NASD-BB: QSTI) and Live Motion Company (LMC) of Wiesbaden, Germany complete coverage of this year's Eurocard-Open (www.eurocard-open.de) tournament from Stuttgart, Germany.
QuesTec and LMC produced TennisProView(TM) for German state-owned ZDF (www.zdf.de) and ARD (www.ard.de) television networks. During the tournament TennisProView was featured on the World-Feed which was transmitted to 150 countries, and broadcast by such networks as
BBC, ESPN, EuroSport, and Sky. This event marks QuesTec's first international broadcast coverage during an ATP Mercedes Super 9 tournament, and brings QuesTec's total coverage to date of professional tennis for the 1999 season to 10 tournaments. TennisProView will be featured during ZDF's coverage of this week's WTA Sparkassen Cup International Grand Prix tournament in Leipzig, Germany; televised coverage begins Thursday, November 4.
QuesTec will close out the 1999 season with a return to the ATP World Championship in Hannover, Germany for host-broadcaster ZDF television, November 22 - 28. TennisProView is a real-time video- and computer-based tracking and scoring system that creates virtual replays for television and a behind-the-scenes analysis tool for commentators. TennisProView is available for all pre-match, match and post-match coverage of center court singles action. Tennis fans are treated to a unique perspective of different types of serves, match serve patterns, Aces and close line calls. QuesTec debuted TennisProView at the 1998 ATP World Championship, Hannover, Germany. Since its debut, TennisProView has been featured during the Sybase Open, Kroger/St. Jude, Franklin Templeton, Lipton Championship, Family Circle Cup, French Open, Gerry Weber Open, Mercedes Cup Stuttgart, the Hamlet Cup and the Eurocard-Open.
