A brief update from Barb Henderson Pacific Rim.

Luicho:

1) Status of Unconfirmed Luicho claims.

Barb was not sure about the status of these claims, but will be contacting Tom Shrake for a further update.

2) Who holds the rights to other surrounding claims?

Immediately North and east: (the sliver) by Southwestern Gold
Further North: a Local Peruvian Company Hothchilds?
Others: Newmont and other Local Peruvian companies

3) What is happening regarding road construction to the property?

The road construction will start from Colta (directly North of the Luicho claim). There is approximately 6.5km of road to construct which is less than their initial estimate of 10km, as 3.5 km of the trail is already in good shape. PFG is currently negotiating with village representatives to formalize an agreement for road access. 66% of the community must sign an agreement for this, it must then be gazetted etc. PFG foresees no problem with this process as employment is being offered to the local community. The company is currently accepting bids from road contractors. A broad estimate of road construction costs is $250-$400 thousand dollars. Still expected to complete around March 2000.

4) When will regulatory approval be given for Luicho agreement?

Translation of document from Spanish to English is currently taking place after which it will be forwarded to TSE. Approximately 3 weeks after approval should take place. No problems foreseen.

5) What is currently happening on-site?

David Ernst, Peter Dilles and a group of local geologists and other locals are currently surveying the site. Specifically, they are collecting more samples which are now in the thousands. Unlike the 430 samples initially taken from various areas throughout the property, the team are now methodically filling in the property section by section, as densely as possible (even the poorly accessible areas). Sampling results continue to come in and it is expected a news release will be issued by mid November.

Diablillos:

PFG has received no official word on Diablillos drilling although the 3,000 meter program is complete. Barrick will be in Vancouver this Monday and it is expected they will drop in at the PFG office. PFG will begin pushing for results by mid-Nov if no news by then. Still a rumour that Barrick is considering more drilling.

Luicho:

Nothing new. Bill Gehlen is gathering information together to build a 3 dimensional target for further drilling. The property will be drilled further. Still to determine if part of a joint venture or solo. This property is not a priority right now as Luicho is numero uno.
