Actually, Fujitsu announced just a month or two ago that they were going to convert some of the DRAM factories to flash. Even though DRAM has greater revenue potential, it also faces those periodic gluts that destroys profitability. Flash doesn't face that problem yet, and won't for at least another year or two, and perhaps longer. We can at least hope that these companies learned from their DRAM experience not to build capacity too quickly.
