Seems there are some shorts among us as legal fees are generating more interest than AMPEX's technology. Should there be an award of attorneys fees that award would not merely contemplate time spent in the courtroom during the trial but rather would and should include time spent in preparation(discovery)and trial together with all taxable costs such as the reasonable cost of expert witnesses etc. I would think that the bifurcation of these trials on a per patent basis might enure to Ampex's benefit at this time and provide incentives for the ulimate resolution of all claims. If there is a commonality of issues presented in these claims than than the findings previously decided should not be retrialed. This may present good cause for resolving all cases without further trial.Then again I wasn't there but the above IMHO seems a likely conclusion.
