It's either a threat or shows the promise

LAS VEGAS, Nev., Nov 2 (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co. <F.N>
Chief Executive Jac Nasser said Tuesday the automaker plans to
announce the formation of an Internet joint venture company
with database software giant Oracle Corp. <ORCL.O>.
Nasser, in brief remarks at the Specialty Equipment Market
Association's convention, said the new venture would help
manage the No. 2 automaker's $300 billion supply chain.
"This is really a ground-breaking, leading-edge change in
the way the industry will be managed in the 21st century,"
Nasser said.
A formal announcement is planned later Tuesday.
