Carolyn, My guess would be that some 'Jersey mobsters were using the brokers to pump n dump their paper. These things happen all the time. In fact, from what I have seen the Mafia is begining to abandon places like Las Vegas because a penny stock brokerage can launder money better than anything. Of course, the biggest scam these days is the IMF. I like the way Russian gangsters loot the billions from the IMF and within a week or two the money is being laundered back through the Bank of New York. The scams only get bigger and better. -John
