Hey! AAPL never had any quarrel with CPQ. Their fight is with DELL.

Rosen once asked AAPL to buy CPQ. Sculley did not see a match at that time.

CPQ also had a Mac-clone motherboard protype that they were ready to release in 1995. Again, AAPL didn't see any partner value.
