So here we sit, and remember our loss, three years ago today
We hope somehow our pain will let us go on, and finally go away
We try and remember our laughs, our hopes, our goals, and all the dreams we had
And somehow it eases the pain, but an emptiness stays, so we are still so very mad
We know you were ready, and needed to re-unite with your one true love
Who was already home, in the place we know best, and that is right above
We know in our hearts that you are with Irene, but somehow our hearts still can't heal
For we still feel robbed, as you were taken from us and the pain is still so very real.
How can we forgive and forget, the man who took your life in such a violent way
So here we start, round number three, and we all still hope the bastard will pay
To have to keep going through this, and have to think back
To that dark night and the time of such a vicious attack
Soon the court case will be done, so the healing can finally begin
And we can finally start somehow, to forgive this terrible sin.
We try and send our love, and our feelings to you everyday
And our own special memories will always be here to stay
