Look, there is a free market in gold in spite of whatever anyone thinks to contrary. That's true of all markets. The only thing that interferers can do is delay or accelerate the inevitable.

My purpose for holding gold is inflation. I could care less about other superficial "press" forces and I assure you they are all fluff. Inflation is just going away for awhile and then it will return with greater force. The core reason that it will return is that FED will not use this opportunity to lean hard against the wind. The world economic system is backing off from a move to nasty inflation and FED needs to use that backdrop to change psychology. They won't.

That doesn't mean I have to devote myself to the shibboleth of gold. There are other areas in which to operate. When they run out fo gas maybe it will be time to take another look at gold.

AEM acts well. Net flow is still out, perhaps bottoming, but the bias is positive and the sensitivity is up and relatively high. That's happening while bullion corrects. This has to be the strongest gold play.
