Although the 36170 is aging a bit, its life cycle is still intact as an edge switch. However, it can't compete as a core switch today with larger carriers. Even TM stated this in the CC. This puts NN at a tremendous disadvantage for those carriers wanting a heterogeneous solution (most???). Why do you think most carriers would prefer a heterogeneous solution? Daniel
