I don't follow the discourses on this thread, if I want to be close to Jesus, I just open my heart...or go spend time in the desert or in some beautiful solitude...Mohamed or Buddha as well, or just be content...

That was a post of the supreme love & devotion, from which every journey to god truly begins, is sustained, and bears the sweetest fruit....we are pilgrims on the path. And if we are not experiencing love and devotion, and wonderment in this life....what good is it to call oneself a christian jew moslem or Hindu....only titles and words...

an "essential" post---> that expresses very well and all...of that which can't be put into words, that is of our greatest needs and import....that which is at the heart of our deepest longings, yet truly formless and hidden. Revealed in words? Words like those ---> yes!

did i say" can't be put into words"? LOL! Well some , blessed masters can put the true meanings into---> stories, parables. also in just the way they move and gesture and tell the story....Always feel sad for Christianity to have no living masters...there are always a few on earth that are saints, but you must seek them out. Jesus said : there will be those that will do greater deeds than I have done...he was not kidding or just being humble. He knew there would be other greatly inspired and loving teachers to follow , to sacrafice greatly to teach man..which is the miracle.

***The most divine essay on the same subject I've ever read was The chapter in Kahlil Gibran's masterpiece "the Prophet". The chapter entitled: LOVE.

In our Sect ( of hinduism), we regard Kahlil Gibran as a modern Saint....everyone who lives in this century should.

sorry to invade your thread , christians , i go in peace....
