IBM must be doing well in servicing all those huge blue boxes, especially correcting the Y2k problems and bringing them up to the 21st century standards. Perhaps P/C's are a distraction and where is the profit in keeping or expanding the division when Dell sells for less. and I believe IBM can envision much better potential elsewhere This revolution ( web) is happening right now, despite the plans for doing things within 2 years, or whatever. Its a matter of launching those satellites( or contracting for them) ASAP. Or setting up the ground stations, or providing high-speed access. Companies seem to know that if they don't get in on the ground floor (ala AOL)hehe they will get left out. 2 years from now is too late. Which is why Dell is setting up all those new facilities Summary: Kemble's predictions may become real sooner than expected. I sense big things in the wind. Sig
