Those statistical books from early in the century have a value to someone. I'll bet a New Orleans or Baton Rouge bookseller would have a customer for them. Somewhere in Louisiana there is a collector who would love to have those.

I take back what I said about the selling of books not being that exciting. There are certain books one does not "own", but you act as a custodian until it gets to the right people. The book I mentioned that was signed by Pershing I sold to a collector of black military history. It's a very narrow field, there isn't that much out there on the subject. He buys up stuff having to do with "Blackjack" Pershing because he was instrumental in forming, then commanded, the black division that fought in WW I. His collection is a very important one, it's been displayed at museums and scholars are always asking him if they can study it. It's satisfying to know I did my little part in adding to his collection.

I also sold books on local history periodically to a woman who bought for the Hartford Atheneum. It was neat to know those books were going to be held for posterity after having been in my humble little shop.

My unabridged dictionary doesn't contain the word "enthalpy." ???
