PAUL, Minn., Nov 1 (Reuters) - Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co. (NYSE:MMM - news), the industrial conglomerate better known as 3M, said Monday it created a new global division called 3M Drug Delivery Systems and said it would be looking for acquisitions in that area. ``We are looking forward to addressing some of the many technological challenges which have yet to be solved utilizing 3M's unique expertise to the fullest, and as part of this process we will be considering acquisitions,' Dr. Ed Erickson, who will head up the unit, said in a statement. The creation of the new unit will ensure that sufficient commercial resources are dedicated to the growth of 3M within its drug delivery sector, the company said.
