Wade,

My first experience was what Wade Cook calls rooling stocks and I made money. Later, I moved into covered calls and made money on some and lost on others like your experiences. After I got a little more experienced I started buying and selling options which is extremely risky. First, I made a lot of money because we were in a serious bull market. Recently things have changed because of the unpredictability of the current market.

I am now looking into more advanced types of option trades like straddles, strangles, etc. which is why Steve's strategy is very interesting to me. I have read McMillian and every options and trading book I can get my hands on. In one of them a trader advised "trade small at first, because you will make mistakes in the learning phase". Better to make small mistakes than large ones.

Because it seems as though both you and I have gotten into Wade Cook's strategies, which ones work and which ones don't, we can share any great revelations we discover to each other and members of this thread.

David
