I don't think I said anything about "new". But I am sorry if my post had an adverse effect on your sanity. I can only speak anecdotally- I have read no studies that deal with character and aging. But I have never observed mere aging to do much good for anyone. Good people, who are good hearted, generally seem to embark on good projects which make them better people. Therefore even for them it was NOT the mere passage of time that made them better but their own good works.
