paul, your personal taste should be respected by all christians. A christain that puts down other chrisitans likes and dislikes in this area is in sin. Please take any of my comments as not knocking any style of music. The hypotcrisy that christians have about music is a stink all the way to Heaven. When they got on Sandi Patti for her sin I throw up the same time Jesus did. They cancelled Pat Boones show on TBN.(because of his last albums) I never watched his show and TBN is not my style either. but, let a guy do something to help reach drug addicts, gangs, and bikers and you will be persecuted by christians if you don't do it just the way they think it should be done. Most think you should strap a drug addict down and take a bible and force his mouth open and make him eat it.<g> I have one of Charles Wesley's classics on that poster I mentioned. This poster was another dream God sent me. I can show you a copy if you are here next friday. still a few changes like the sword and light in more places and letters changing to red( graphic artist is woring those details now). But, the backdrop of the poster being one of the old time classicals by Wesley is an eye opener. Most of their music was rejected by the church when it first came out. They took biblical principles and meanings and set it to a bar tavern beat and style... not to cool in the 1700's. It was a long time before their music was accepted. You think the beetles wrote a lot of songs. the rumor is the wesley brothers wrote 30-50k songs.....that's impossible. See ya. ps, I don't know with a church that has 4 drummers in a band of 20 that we are going to be your style of music<g> Although last week as another one of those days. After the final song...the pastor couldn't preach. We start out one way and ended up in a series of real worship..just to HIM. His presnece then came in and after it was over you could barely breathe the Holy Spsirt was too thick like a cloud setting down upon us. You cannot make these things happen or force them. They happen only as the Holy Spirit wills. I wish every service but, not the case. It's few services that get a presence like this. At my last church in Hoston this is happening on a more regular basis. God's doing something. There is a powerful outbreak happening as people realize that their TV and money toys bring no real happiness.......they are turning to the King.
