If I were the killer, I would be worried about the noise and neighbors. Don't know what the temperature was - but if a window was open ... and silencers are a risky pain in the butt and (unlike the movies) not all that silent for a hail of supersonic 9mm rounds. That is why I thought a 22 would fit the bill from a noise perspective and explain all the head shots. We will just have to wait - spec'ing this part of the crime is rather fruitless given we know so little.

My vote is on the Russians. -g-
