Larry,
May I remind you that the DOW was off 30 points today, not just IBM, DEC, or the other Techs, but almost everything. To relate INTC's fall today as proof of a slowdown in demand for Intel's products in Europe, is ludicrous. I find this to be just the latest attempt, by the individual who posted this news, to twist facts with untruths. I don't know for what purpose he/she tries to manupulate the facts, nor do I care, but I resent his/her attempt to sabatage this Public Forum.

I did not read the news item today that IBM, or DEC, is having a shortfall in revenues in Europe. However, I remind you that both of these companies lease Mainframes, and large systems, on fixed rental agreements. Intel sells equipment. Therefore, INTC would not be as effected by currency fluctuations in Europe, as are the other two.

I have tried, for the last week, to CAUTION readers of this Intel thread, that I believe, that jiggy's postings are intentionaly misleading. You see I was fortunate to have attended the Intel analysts meeting last week in New York. The same one that jiggy claimed to be at. I saw a very positive presentation made by Intel. And while I have posted here many times, that I am a long term Intel shares accumulator, I thought that this presentation would be very well received by the other analysts. The next morning, before the market opened, I posted my impressions of that meeting. However, soon after my observations were posted, jiggy posted his/her report of the same meeting. Now I don't mind a sincere difference of opinion. In fact I welcome it, (See my posts to Carl Johnson in April and early May). However, I do object to a position being taken which is suppoted by intentionaly false and misleading statements.

Over the last week, jiggy's postings have became increasingly more absurd. However, last night, when he/she tried to justify and condone the intentional posting of false information, under the banner of "freedom of speech", it was the last straw. Because I resent his/her attempt to weaken this Public Forum with misrepresentations, I will ignor any and all of his/her future posts. I recommend to others that they do the same, or at least scrutinize jiggy's posts very carefully. And finally a word of advice for jiggy. Just maybe you should consider that you are spending too much time playing with your Teddy Bears.
Jules
