I got 'instant feeling' CMRC was going up the moment QCOM declared a 4-1 stock split. I used to get them on PHCM, but that got out of my scope. I think its more of a premonition since I've ridden CMRC sky high and down a little and expected the bubble to burst. I would not put more store in feelings like that unless they were stocks that were completely unusual and no one else expected them to move and suddenly from nowhere they moved up. But a stock that is up 40 and down 40 could be more wish fulfillment. I get those intuitions a lot but only act on them if the technicals or the market climate back them up. Goes right back to 'gut feeling' and I really would not set my trades on those. It has been proven that those that rely solely on gut feeling is only a matter of time until they crash. But when they do you won't hear of it, because they keep it under wraps.

For some reason I've seen that professional traders get out of slumps very quickly, are not emotionally involved in their trades, but those that rely on gut feeling, vision, etc tend to get to 'attached' to their stocks and don't see them objectively. They hold them through thick and thin, good earnings and bad to prove a point..which they never end up proving.
