SUNW doesn't count Dell as a competitor, (from their 1999 Annual report).

I took a look at this. I suspect DELL was left off the foil because of the disparity it would have caused on the bar charts. For instance, a quick calculation shows DELL's profit per employee is 45k versus SUNW's 38k. And how 'bout days sales outstanding? SUNW is at 62... and DELL? 3 or 4 days, right? That sure would screw up an otherwise nice foil:->

DELL's not on the foil because it would make SUNW look bad. Nonetheless, SUNW is a formidable force going forward.
