Two years ago today, Newbridge NUTWORKS closed at $58 5/8, on volume of 1,274,600 (NYSE). After the close of the market, that day, Newbridge issued a profit warning. The next day, 11/4/97, the stock finished at $48 3/16, down $10 1/16, on volume of 7,523,000. Newbridge finished November 1997 at $42 1/8. Matthews was running (& ruining) the show. Lutz was brought in in 1998 to turn the company around. Matthews' leadership will not save us at all.
