I've been following this company since 1986, watched it languish at 20 for many years, then a spate of interest as it rocketed to 40 and dive to 25, rocketed to 40 and now is in the "bought the farm" stage...this very company was on the special recommendation list for 1999/00, of the big brokerage house M-L, predicted to be 50/shr....now I wonder how many shares they currently own as a market maker,...now a smashing "accounting" question, accounting firm change with "SEC" notification, (one of a number of market pundits warning flags on any listed company: accounting uncertainty)... .'.(therefore) the selling, if I had only known...after buying in at 23/24 around that level and watching it tank... seems like litigation is the next swipe, the shorts have made out like bandits, ... .'. hold for the long term and a future 2001 recovery, because at this level it is a definite loss to sell. I have thought of selling ORB, and buying the pending UPS IPO, with the resultant funds perhaps I could be back to even in a shorter time period. Uncertain what action would benefit my long term retirement growth... any comments or suggestions to the above is welcome. Seems like the large shareholders would find some more competent management in place, after these recent developments, especially in an up market. |
