Orbital Names Timothy J. Perrott as Vice President Of Investor Relations
DULLES, Va., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Orbital Sciences Corporation (NYSE: ORB) announced today that Mr. Timothy J. Perrott has joined the company's corporate management staff as Vice President of Investor Relations. In the newly-created position, Mr. Perrott will primarily be responsible for the company's relationship with the financial community, including buy- and sell-side research analysts, retail brokers and private investors. He will also play a key role in the development of the company's financial communications strategy and oversee its execution.

"Over the past several years, Orbital has experienced rapid growth both in the size and in the complexity of our business operations. Mr. Perrott comes to Orbital from Southern Company, the nation's largest electric energy company, where he worked since 1990, achieving the position of Director of Investor Relations in 1997. As Southern Company's primary representative to the investment community, he was directly involved in increasing the company's analyst coverage by 25% and its base of institutional investors by 15%.

Mr. Perrott has an electrical engineering degree from Auburn University and earned his MBA degree from Georgia State University.
