Tom, only a handful of pure Ainu are left in Hokkaido.
Even those who claim just a partial Ainu bloodline is altogether only a few thousand.

I also heard Japanese looked down on Ainu for they are very different from mainline Japnaese.

Please tell me little about Hokkaido,
nature, people, cultures...
what did you like the most?
I heard Hokkaido is the last wildness left in Japan.
