Tom and Calypso

Thanks for the warm welcome.I have been in the U.S. many times and in Canada only once{Montreal}.My Uncle lived in Toronto for many years and loved the place. The people of the New World are o.k. by me and I am glad to have the chance to talk with you guys.

Politicians

If Politicians in Ireland are representative of Politicians elsewhere they have ,amongst others, the following concerns:

Funding;Politicians can smell sources of funding at a thousand yards and they can identify effective strategies to access funding very quickly

Technology;Politicians do not understand the "new technologies".They do not need to as yet because the vast majority of Voters are not interested in these technologies.

However I believe the following will change the views of political representatives.

Politicians are in danger of becoming irrelevant and thus distanced from new funding sources unless they get their act together and start to play a meaningful role in societies move to the new economy. The Brits are taking a lead here, their Govt. has appointed an e-commerce representative. As Politicians never willingly distance themselves from funding I think you will see them greatly improve their understanding of things like digital signatures

There is a very good chance that the elections of political reps. will take place over the net soon.See Verisign's press release regarding the application by Votation.com in California.Dr. Garret Fitzgerald an eminent Irish politician has been appointed to the board of Votation. If elections are held on the net politicians will learn precisely what digicerts and net security are about. On a side issue I hope BALT get into the net elections security related market soon.

Tom,I do not think the issue you have raised is a concern for us.

Valuations

I hope I do not bore you ,Tom and Calypso, because I am going to pursue this issue of valuation and post my findings. It will take me a little time so give me a few days.Regarding:

"I have not said p/e ratio once"
"Potential,potential,potential"

I hear you.

I see you guys are knowledgeable and experienced momentum players.I'll go with that. However I also have experience of momentum-in the wrong direction, hence my interest in an objective valuation methodology.Murphy {ctsl}calculates a measure which he calls the dowmside risk value {d.r.v.}This is the figure which he estimates funds will buy a bombed out share and thus allow a small investor to get out.He has calculated the d.r.v. for VSGN as 2$ approx.
A sobering measurement indeed.

Gorilla game

Calypso, when you say "you have to work with all three to be able to play in the pki game"I take it you refer to a gorilla game strategy for investors.Should AETH be added?

Fran Rooney

Rooney is by all accounts an exceptional individual. He is a qualified accountant and a computer programmer. He attained these skills and qualifications while keeping a job and raising a family.Dermot Desmond another exceptional person, spotted rooney's potential when Rooney was managing a successfull computerised tax recovery service.Rooney is in his early 40's and at the height of his powers.
BALT is hiring aggressively in the U.S. so expect to see new faces on the scene shortly.

I am away for a few days and look forward to getting back to the discussion

Regards
Conor00
