ÿ PAGESTAR, INC. ANNOUNCES FIRST PRODUCTION RUN OF ITS UNIQUE VEHICLE TRACKING AND RECOVERY SYSTEM
SANTA ANA, Calif. (April 11,1997) - PageStar, Inc. (PGST-OTC/BB) announced today that final beta testing has begun on the first production run of its AlphaTRAK 9000 (formerly StarTRAK 9000) Vehicle Tracking and Recovery System. The AlphaTRAK 9000 with its integrated surface-mounted Motorola Datalink IIT paging receiver (a partnership with PageNet paging network), Motorola cellular transceiver and Motorola GT OncoreT Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver utilizes patented paging technology that allows users to control vehicle functions from anywhere in the world. PageStar also announced today that it is in the process of merging into its wholly owned subsidiary, Satellite Control Technologies, Inc. and changing its name to Satellite Control Technologies, Inc. Also, AlphaTrak was originally going to be called StarTRAK. Company executives feel that the AlphaTRAK system will be the number one auto security system in the industry in the near future. The unique AlphaTRAK 9000 allows users to call the system from anywhere in the world, and once access is made via a password, the vehicle can be controlled in many ways. The user can simulate the car running out of gas and coming to a complete stop, forcing a thief to abandon the car. The user can also lock and unlock doors, disable the car before going to sleep or out of town as well as a number of other options. The AlphaTRAK system matches some of the front-running military systems in both sophistication and reliability. The covert-style antenna for the GPS system is utilizing the first 27 db gain microchip amplifiers available for commercial usage. The interface unit has been designed with a custom encryption and checking system built in, which corrects all of the cellular data problems and allows all of the car's position locks to be sent every two seconds - without interference - which provides unsurpassed performance. According to PageStar president Steve Lipman, the AlphaTRAK system - by design and function - is far superior than any other in the world. "Our system can be accessed anytime, from anywhere in the country - not from a few select cities," said Lipman. "If your car is stolen, the owner will be notified by pager or telephone as soon as the vehicle has been stolen - day or night." "With other systems on the market, your car could be stolen at 1 a.m. and you wouldn't even know about it until the next morning, and by then it could be well out of tracking range. AlphaTRAK will be at work monitoring your vehicle 24 hours a day, and utilizing GPS and paging technology, can be tracked anywhere, anytime." Other systems also require that a standard cellular phone be installed in the vehicle for the tracking system to operate. Once you remove the phone, you've removed the security system.
