I don't believe the OEM's really feel that AMD is needed to keep Intel honest with respect to pricing. Intel has always, and I mean always, used price to spur demand. I don't believe the OEM's have a problem with Intel at all. As for "we'll let the market decide" is good PR and anit anti-trust. It's a self-serving statement. In fact, what else could they say--"we insist on you using Rambus memory"-- that would surely bring out the Justice Dept.
