Hi Ram,

The runup on over 600k volume to 6 1/4 was followed by a pullback on light volume. The MMs in play at that time indicated it to be retail trading, mostly profit-taking and short-term traders who don't know the value of what they're holding.

This is still a 'spec' (speculative) stock, until they announce purchase orders. From all indications of their readiness and the market's needs, those POs will be following soon. The NRI (Nomura Research Institute) report presented at the Power99 conference in Santa Clara just a few weeks ago indicated the sad state of the lithium-ion battery industry, and the failing attempts of all the players aside from Valence to bring lithium-polymer cells to commercial production. They purposefully avoided all mention of Valence... whistling past the graveyard. LOL!!

Contrast that with the online Mobile Computing article, which emphasized the industry's dire need for better energy sources, highlighted lithium polymer cells as the next generation battery technology, and then only posted photos of Valence cells...

I suspect the current runup is in anticipation of those POs, whether they happen before or after the call is less important. I smell new money coming online here...
