Chuzlewit,

price does matter

Apparently not in this market. :)

Seriously, I can't offer irrefutable reasons to disagree with some of your assumptions. Instead, I'll offer my thinking with the understanding that though I could be wrong my investments are bets that I'm right.

The biggest issue I have with your thinking is that Citrix will be a "mature" company in ten years. If I am painting the big picture properly, the company will still be a rapidly growing company.

Now that we have seen how really large high-tech companies that sell enabling products can continue to grow revenue and earnings for more than a decade BEFORE the Internet was around, I can more easily see how that kind of growth can even more easily be attained after the Internet has come to being. Using Gorilla Game terminology, Cisco's stock increased 89% annually during the first nine years after its initial tornado.

Neither of us has a crystal ball, but I'm working on my biggest weakness as an investor -- that I'm not enough of a visionary. One of my first steps in that regard is to dispell the notion that Citrix HAS to be a mature company ten years from now.

P. S. I hope you're following the Gorilla and King Candidate thread.
