Bill Murphy's Official Mouthpiece besides himself is Chris Powell. Chris Powell wrote up the mission statement and posted it on here. It is available for you to read if you chose to go back through the posts, say around early April and find it for yourself.
Chris Powell calls GATA a political organization. Bill Murphy calls it a "POLITICAL PARTY"/organization. And Bill Murphy knows and probably understands very well the relative LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY to the donor base a currently declared not-for-profit organization is. I doubt you will be able to get him to reveal/show their "document" as you call it to anyone [except the auditors, which, trust me, he will have, and have in deepest black spades.]
I assume he will show this "document", i.e., the NFP IRS "letter," and application for same to his lawyers. But, I've wondered on more than one occasion if they bother to read what he says and puts into print in other forums?
But, Bill has never come out and stated what the retainer fee was, whether it was a dollar or if it was $50,000, or if it has even been paid. And as far as BM's promise that this "legal bunch getting in gear soon?" Well, THAT fits into the same trashcan atop what he's been promising almost as long as he's been promising a gold rally to end all gold rallies.
Anyone can file a nuisance suit, but against whom is BM going? AG?
NYFR? BIS? Tony Blair? Paul Volcker? Rockefeller Foundation? CFR?
Goldman Sachs? Rubin? Wm Duisenberg? Peter Munk? Camdesseus?
So, what?
Filing suit is the easy part and announcing such a filing or filings will mean NOTHING!!! Proving something in court is quite another matter.
Getting the secretive goldmarket OTC dealings revealed through discovery is part of the 'cat and mouse' game directly ahead and anything BUT a slamdunk!!!
And guess what???
Y2K will cut right across this whole manipulation thing, and emasculate his whole political org into a rag-tag team of eunuchs and embarrass the bejeebers out of Berger Montague, etc.
You see, when Y2K makes the price of gold go up, there will no longer be the charges of "price manipulation/foul play" made. That only happens when the price goes down you see.
Bill will take unwarranted credit.
No one will donate another thin dime because POG has rallied, rendering moot any perceived feel-good-need to fund "GADDA" as in gaddabouts, let alone sue somebody.
So, you produce the private IRS not for profit application document which contains the mission statement, Doug. And YOU dig up the POWELL publically written mission statement of both official mouthpiece Powell and "inspector chief" BM's utterance, be it uttered drunk or sober: it is in public now. Want to wager whether the two mission statements are in conflict or are in sync????
If he wants to run for dogcatcher or chief justice of the supreme court, I could care less. But to solicit funds on one set of statements and assertions, and then be caught later saying something that carries the appearance of another agendae publically, after the bucks start trickling in is just another example of an unskilled, has-been, running back, running in the wrong backfield from where I'm sitting in the stands.
The point of my post was and remains this:
This is a political organization and I called it first and reiterated it today; CP calls GATA a political organization; I POINTED OUT THAT IT WAS BASICALLY A PAC, and BM calls GATA a "political party."
Have a good one, Doug but please don't start sporting bumperstickers advocating a BM for President.
