Anglo Swiss' British Columbia Gemstones Introduced in the United States by The Gemological Institute and the Jewelers' Circular Keystone Magazines

Vancouver,B.C.

Anglo Swiss Resources Inc.'s (ASW - Montreal, ASWRF - OTC BB)
gemstone discovery in the Slocan Valley of British Columbia
continues to attract coverage by top American jewelry trade
magazines.

The Gemological Institute of America ( the official non-profit
educational organization for the jewelry industry ), in the
recent issue of "Gems & Gemology" addressed the significance of
Anglo Swiss' newly discovered iolite, garnets, star-sapphires,
and other gemstones.

"Amethyst, light blue beryl, moonstone, titanite, and zircon
have also been recovered by Anglo Swiss from the Slocan Valley;
as of February 1999, all but the zircon had been faceted. Several
varieties of quartz ( e.g., smoky, star, rock crustal, and rose
) have been recovered, as have Japan-law-twinned crystals for use
as mineral specimens. Clearly, this area has the potential to
produce a large variety of gem materials."

The Jewelers Circular Keystone, in their August 1999 issue,
highlighted the company's iolite in their North American Beauties
series of articles.

"Gem iolite recently found in British Columbia has been
described as some of the largest and finest-quality in the world"

"Iolite is not a gem associated with North America, but that's
going to change. There's an important new find in Canada that
will add this beautiful, sapphire-like gemstone to the North
American repertoire."

The company continues to remove gem bearing host material from
the Rainbow North iolite occurrence. The material is transported
to the nearby Kenville Mine facility, where the rough iolite
crystals are extracted prior to forwarding to a cutting facility
in Sri Lanka.
