TD, take a look into AMCC and start thinking: Does the recent run-up in AMCC have absolutely nothing to do with the "weakness" (sorry, it's all relative...) of PMCS performance? I don't think so! Talking to AMCC key people, they do not seem to fear PCMS competition at all any longer... They consider Level One (Intel) a more viable competitor! Yes, I fully understand, that AMCC and PMCS are not direct competitors, but looking at various H/W systems partitioning possibilities incl. captive ASIC companion chips - well, they are in a way. Level One?? Last quarter was down to USD 60Mil vs. USD 80Mil in the previous quarter...
