C-YA Matt Trumpeter Yukon Gold Inc - News Release Goddell drilling results Trumpeter Yukon Gold Inc TYG Shares issued 17165000 1997-04-11 close $0.55 Friday Apr 11 1997 News Release See Omni Resources Inc (ORI) News Release Mr Jon Bergvinson reports Underground drilling has extended the strike length of the Goddell shear mineralized zone to 240m (787 ft) with four more intersections of significant grade and width in DDH 97-43, 97-47, 97-50 and 97-51. In the latest round, 10 holes were drilled to test the Goddell shear structure and nine holes intersected the zone west of the wider disseminated gold zone previously reported. Excellent results in a group of holes, DDH 97-43, 47 and 50, generally define a block 100m (328 ft) horizontally and 65m (213 ft) vertically with minimum drill intercepts of 5.59m (18.34 ft) and minimum grades of 0.215 ounces per ton gold. The structure is open. Diamond drill hole 97-51 on section 4540 E, is the deepest and most easterly hole drilled to date, and intersected 22.44m (73.63 ft) of disseminated gold grading 0.151 ounces per ton gold. Hole 97-51 was drilled approximately 50m (164 ft) under 97-41 which intersected 53m (174 ft) of 0.20 oz/t Au. The current underground diamond drill program is designed to extend the elevationally-controlled mineralization at 50m (164 ft) intervals. Drilling is continuing on section 4250 E and additional assay results be released as they become available. The decline ramp will be advanced to the east by an additional 150m (492 ft) during the next six weeks. The Goddell project is under option from Arkona Resources whereby Omni may earn up to 70% of the project by spending $4 million by July 1999. Approximately $3 million has been spent on the project to date. Financing has been provided by Trumpeter Yukon, which recently exercised 750,000 warrants at 1.50 per share. By exercising 1,500,000 additional warrants at $1.50 by June 5 1997, Trumpeter will have earned the right to become a 50-50 joint venture partner in Omni's projects in the region.
