Global Crossing Announces Early Termination of Hart-Scott-Rodino Waiting Period
Related To Its Acquistion of Racal Telecom

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 4, 1999--Global Crossing Ltd.
("Global Crossing") announced today that it has been notified by the
United States Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice of
the early termination of the waiting period under the
Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 for the filings
made in connection with the acquisition of Racal Electronics Plc's
telecom business ("Racal Telecom").
Global Crossing's acquisition of Racal Telecom is expected to be
completed later this month and remains subject to the approval of
shareholders of Racal Electronics Plc.
