intel top management either , huh?.

With cyrix/via being highly competitive in the socket370 low-end sector, the K7 being competitive in the middle to high end area, and the K6-2+ more aimed at the notebook market, you get a pretty wide spread area where non-intel cpu's outpace or outprice intel's offerings.
