From Briefing.com (11/3/99)... 15:30 ET MMC Networks (MMCN) 16 1/2 -10 5/16: Company appeared at the Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown conference this morning and left analysts with the impression that there is downside risk for earnings this quarter. Cisco (CSCO -2 1/32) accounts for more than half of MMCN sales, which is therefore prompting rumors that CSCO is cancelling orders. PMC Sierra (PMCS -2 9/16) also getting hit as CSCO is a big customer. Salomon Smith Barney argues against buying these stocks on weakness.
