London, Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks gained in Europe,
led by banks such as Citigroup Inc., and computer-related
stocks including Intel Corp., on optimism the cycle of rising
in erest rates may soon end in the world's largest economy.
''The inflation news has been much better,'' said Naren
Dutta, who oversees about 3 billion pounds ($4.9 billion)
in U.S. stocks at Royal & Sun Alliance Investment
Management. ''We're pretty close to the end of the
rate-increase cycle.''
