Snap.com and XOOM.com Forge $75 Million Content and E-Commerce Relationships With HealthGate Data Corp. Integrated Media Deal Secures Multiple Anchor Tenancies Within Snap.com's Health Channel and Features HealthGate(R) in Snap.com's NBC Television Promotional Campaign SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Snap.com and XOOM.com Inc. (Nasdaq: XMCM - news) -- key components of the proposed NBC Internet, Inc. (NBCi) -- today announced agreements valued at $75 million with HealthGate® Data Corp., making the company the primary provider of health content within Snap.com's Health Channel and affording HealthGate prominent placement in select Snap.com commercials slated to air on the NBC Television Network.
(Photo: newscom.com ) HealthGate ( healthgate.com ), a leading provider of Internet-based personal health and medical information, will serve as Snap.com's primary anchor tenant within seven major co-branded resource centers within the Snap.com Health Channel, with topics varying from diseases and conditions to men's health and medications.
Additionally, XOOM.com and HealthGate will offer co-branded direct e-commerce offers to HealthGate members, or those online users who sign up specifically for HealthGate content on Snap.com's Health Channel.
As part of the three-year agreements, HeathGate will be featured in select Snap.com on-air advertisements designed to promote the Snap/HealthGate co-branded areas on Snap.com.
