Copper Hill Corporation Second Drill Hole Continues The
Success Of Initial Hole, North Powderhorn Lake

ST.JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND--Copper Hill is pleased to announce
completion of its second diamond drill hole (PN-99-02) on its
North Powderhorn Lake property, in central Newfoundland.
PN-99-02, drilled to a vertical depth of 191.9 ft (and 50 m to the
southwest of PN-99-01) encountered 86.9 ft of strongly silicified
felsics containing disseminated, stringer and fracture-fill
pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and sphalerite throughout, as
well as a 2.1 ft wide zone of semi-massive to massive pyrrhotite
containing interspersed blebs of chalcopyrite and sphalerite. The
hole collared in a mafic dyke whose 55.8 ft interval corresponds
with the projected intersection of the strongly banded
sphalerite-rich section encountered in PN-99-01 (the latter had
intersected variably disseminated, stringer and banded sulphides
over 80 ft). Likewise, the presence of the massive pyrrhotite
section in PN-99-02 is inferred, on the basis of the 60 degree
core angle, to project below the depth of PN-99-01 which had been
drilled vertically to a 118.1 ft depth. A third drill hole planned
for the near future will aim to side-step the dyke encountered in
PN-99-02.

The drill program, to date, consists of relatively shallow
drilling which has, nevertheless, encountered significant
near-surface sulphide mineralization in both drill holes (PN-99-01
and PN-99-02). Present drilling has not yet tested the total
potential depth of mineralization.

The host rock in both drill holes is lithologically similar in
composition and texture to that of the mineralized boulders found
widely dispersed throughout the drill-site area--namely, a
distinctive blue-quartz porphyritic felsic volcanic unit. This
is, furthermore, correlatable with identical mineralized bedrock
and sub-outcrop material extensively exposed around the shoreline
area of Powderhorn Lake at distances of 0.3 to 1.0 km further
southeast where grab sampling has yielded up to 4.5% Zn, 2.14% Cu,
1.8% Pb, 1.2 g/t Au and 16 g/t Ag. Recent sampling of mineralized
boulders near the present drill-site area yielded assay results of
9.2% Zn, 2.14 % Cu, 2.54 g/t Au and 62.7 g/t Ag (Press Release
99-06 on Oct, 1999).

The core has recently been logged and assay sample preparation is
underway. Core will be available for viewing at the C.I.M./APEGN
Conference held on November 4-7, 1999 in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Copper Hill which trades on the CDN holds a number of mineral
exploration projects in Newfoundland and Labrador.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,

Earl R. Benson, President.
