hey tc, "I have two norton lines in my close program window...navapw32 and csinject...do you know which one I should close?" you mean to keep your screen from hanging? no. it's probably more important to continue to follow the 'shut down all background apps' procedure in order to facilitate the install. you'll still get the hang on reboot, but at least you'll know why. but of the two you mentioned, navapw32 looks like it pertains to antivirus and should definitely be shut down. "Next time I install something I'll let you know if your suggestion works" to clarify, it was more of an attempt to explain than it was a suggestion. i.e. i don't recommend doing anything different with the norton apps to stop the hang. clear as mud? <g3> btw, nice to hear your positive comments on the software in general. :) mr.norton
