We identified an opportunity in the marketplace and saw a need to service these patients with dedicated, quality care and services. Moreover, we determined that these patients could also benefit from certain lifestyle services that would empower them to lead independent and active lifestyles. Our ability to continue this focus and extend our expertise into the hemophilia area will provide payers and patients alike with enhanced products, services and care," said Joseph Smith, Coram's chief operating officer.
"We have assembled an experienced management team to head our new hemophilia division. The new senior management team brings over 130 years of combined, first-hand hemophilia disease management knowledge and expertise to Coram's new division.
