A few more thoughts. . . . . .
Thanks, Paullie. . .whenever the JDSU breaks through the short grip. . . no idea at what level they will be at when that occurs. . . it will take very careful analysis by TA'rs.
ADAP and ANTC both have lost momentum. . .which is disconcerting in that fund managers are passing them by. . . but I still believe they will be takeover targets. . . .and if JDSU does the buying, they are very generous with their premiums. .93 share for OCLI was a fabulous offer. . .and such premiums are few and far between these days.
I don't believe that rumor of IBM buying XYBR. . . I have heard it 3 times before over the past year or so. . . once it was Sony doing the buying, I believe. . . pump and dumpers post such false rumors in chat rooms on these tiny stocks. . . be careful . . . .and don't get suckered into buying their shares at a premium.
COVD is dumping 13 million shares into the market today. . . but already the company has traded 11 million. . .the reason for such an add-on offering is so that fund managers can add the company and begin large positions, without having to chase the stock. One would believe that the dilution would tank the stock. . .but on the contrary, more investors are now able to get in. . . remember that the fund managers are getting slammed with buyers here. . . .and funds are generally held a year or longer. .. so they want some price stability as they get their customers in. . . then as more customers add funds. . . the managers must continue buying the stocks that comprise their ports. . . so there is continued buying pressure which sends the stock slowly skyward. Look at AOL, RNWK, QCOM, YHOO, EXDS, etc. . . for one-year charts to see the importance of getting in low.
So, COVD looks good here for the long-termers.
Another that I am really interested in is ETEK. . .it is at a better value than the others currently.. .. yet is getting enormous attention.
Not happy with ATHM's not tracking AOL past few days or for that matter, since mid-October. . . also, UBID and HRBC turned out to be duds in the B2B world. . . . also, getting passed over.
Remember what I said. . .we want the stocks that fund managers think will be the winners. . . not the ones we think will be winners.
