It's been my experience that when dealing with near-monopolies, such as Intel, it's more important to watch what they do. What they say may be irrelevant. (Like in politics, it doesn't matter what the politician says.) I view Intel's comments regarding PC133 and DDR are merely token gestures. In the end, I have no doubt that Intel will exert its will. Due to the Internet phenomenon and commodification of the PC, the only way for Intel to maintain its preeminent status is to capture the standard for data-transfer-rate, i.e. Rambus.

Nevertheless, your opinion is justifiable. I wish I could play it both ways. (I'm not as good as President Clinton).
